It's amazingly sleek looking and very easy to use as both a phone and a gaming device. As more and more games become available (there is already quite a few) this will become the device of choice for everyone. Get it now at Amazon.com while they are in stock- demand is expected to be great.

OK, so the October plan didn't exactly happen, but there is a new rumor that it could be announced as soon as December 9th. We also have a new possible photo for the device. See below. We have seen this one floating around now for few weeks so we may be onto somthing. Sony is just so tigh lipped about this one. They must really feel like they have something big here with the psp phone, otherwise why so hush hush? Nobody has even seen a photo of a prototype yet that has been confirmed by sony. Stay tuned for updates!

It was leaked last month (August2010) that Sony Ericsson has plans to release the Sony PSP Phone shortly- possibly by October. Although there have been conflicting reports as to if the PSP Phone will be releases at the end of 2010 or more likely in 2011, we still do not know the official Sony PSP Phone release date.
Here is the Skinny on the Sony PSP Phone. Although nobody, knows because Sony is keeping this tightly guarded, the device is rumored to have either a 3.7 inch or 4.1 inch touch screen in the form of a slider device. Here is the great thing though for you gamers. Rather than having the usual QWERTY keyboard, the keyboard will have a PSP Go-style gamepad, with bumpers and face buttons.
Other features would include a 5 megapixel camera, a 1Ghz Snapdragon CPU processor and be run on Android 3.0 technology. The look and style of the Sony PSP Phone while still to be determined is rumored to be a black device with either a white or silver area for the gamepad.
Sony PSP Phone Games
The idea behind the Sony PSP Phone would be to give its users the PSP gaming experience with the ability to use it as a phone also. Essentially it’s a Playstation Portable device first and foremost that can also be used as a mobile phone device. This wouldn’t be a device you would get if you are looking for a great cell phone and want to occasionally play a game now and then. It’s a PSP that can also be used for making calls, sending text messages, accessing the internet, checking email and more. Think of it as a smaller Playstation Portable with phone cababilities. Sony is already developing their top rated games for the Sony PSP Phone. The hardware is obviously different but the graphics hardware is said to be right on par with the most recent version of the PSP. With it being different Sony will have to alter the coding of the games to run on the new PSP smartphone. Don’t worry though, they will be sure to have most if not all of their top games ready once the phone is released.
